Sichuan Nanchong: Establishes a Base for the Dissemination and International Communication of Chinese Culture

On March 31, the unveiling ceremony of the "Base for the Dissemination and International Communication of Chinese Culture" was held at West Hill Square in Nanchong, Sichuan Province. Yang [surname], President of the People-to-People Friendship Association of Nanchong City, and She Long, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shunqing District Committee and Minister of Publicity, unveiled the plaque for the base. The city's People-to-People Friendship Association, in collaboration with Shunqing District, established the base in the West Hill Scenic Area to invite international students and foreign friends to engage in a variety of cultural exchange activities, including international communication and interactive experiences, to showcase the city's sunny, progressive, and open-minded image to the world.

As a central city in the northern part of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone, a regional central city in the Chengdu-Chongqing city cluster, and an important node city in the Sichuan-Shaanxi revolutionary old district, Nanchong is a city with a long history and rich cultural heritage. It is a sophisticated, profound, and culturally rich city. Sites such as Kaihan Tower, Wanjuan Tower, Qiaogong Temple, and Qile Mountain, all located in the West Hill Scenic Area, bear the historical memory of the city and hold significant advantages for international communication.

"Nanchong currently has more than 700 international students and foreign teachers from 36 countries and regions around the world," said Yang [surname]. The establishment of the base for the dissemination and international communication of Chinese culture is conducive to further conveying Nanchong's excellent Chinese culture to the world in a way that is understandable and clear to the global audience. It also serves to showcase the beautiful city of Nanchong to the world.

In recent years, Nanchong has fully utilized the unique advantages of people-to-people diplomacy and actively carried out cooperative exchanges at home and abroad. By making good use of traditional festivals and platforms integrating "self-media, mainstream media, and new media," the city has vigorously promoted Nanchong's culture, strengthened exchanges among international students at universities, and conducted overseas friendship activities, all of which have continuously expanded the "circle of friends" in external exchanges.
