AI Brings Historical Scenes to Life

BEIJING, June 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- A new series of short-form videos, co-produced by the China Center for International Communication Development (CCICD) and the National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS), uses cutting-edge AI to recreate historical moments. Combining cinematic visuals, immersive details, and emotional storytelling, the project transports audiences back in time.

As hope faded, the Guangdong Navy's patrol fleet emerged on the horizon..." Far from legend, such episodes—documented in ancient Chinese book the Factual Record of Qing Dynasty—reveal the Qing government's repeated rescue missions for distressed foreign vessels, providing survivors with supplies and safe passage home. Now, 270 years later, a story once confined to 30 classical Chinese characters comes to life through advanced AI.
